Job Title:
IT Systems Specialist

Duration: 6 months (contract to hire)
Conversion salary after contract- 60-80k/year

Job Overview:


The IT Systems Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the IT Manager and delivering technology systems support to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the organization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure operational efficiency and stability, safeguarding the security of the organization's cloud-based applications, core production server systems, and information systems infrastructure.
  • Monitor the health of enterprise systems and address any unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory and for cloud services.
  • Support new feature launches, ensuring compatibility with existing IT infrastructure and endpoints.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Microsoft Windows group policies.
  • Help maintain standard system images and configure new computers for end users.
  • Provide assistance to remote users in a mobile computing environment.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on new or updated Enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to explain errors and recommend modifications to systems and networks.
  • Offer user and desktop support for both Windows and MacOS systems. Assist remote field employees as needed.
  • Work with other company staff to research and resolve technical issues.

  • In-depth understanding of computer and networking hardware and software systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Quick learner with a broad understanding of networking and systems hardware and software.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Education Substitution: High school diploma plus 5 years of directly related experience in a similarly complex IT role.
Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License; possession of a functional, insured vehicle.
Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Support Engineer Certifications
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • CompTIA Network+
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Security+
