PART-TIME COOK I | GANA-A'YOO, LIMITED

POSITION SUMMARY

Gana-A'Yoo, Limited is in search of a part-time Cook I to enhance our culinary team. This role is designed for individuals with no prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. The compensation for this position is set at $20.85 per hour, with a benefits package that includes paid time off, holidays, sick leave, as well as medical and retirement benefits.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft nutritious and imaginative meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, maintaining a focus on quality.
  • Prepare large quantities of food using various cooking techniques, including the preparation of meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, and a variety of sauces, soups, and casseroles.
  • Organize and rotate food items in pantry, coolers, and freezers to ensure freshness.
  • Assist with the receipt and organization of weekly food deliveries.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
  • Strong time management skills are essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role primarily takes place in an indoor food service environment, where interaction with a diverse group of individuals is expected.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position involves active duties, including regular walking, standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees must maintain a high level of mental alertness at all times.

MOBILITY

Employees will need to navigate the workspace to attend meetings and collaborate with colleagues.
