Position Overview:

The Bakery Worker plays a vital role in the culinary operations, focusing on the preparation and baking of various goods. This position requires adherence to established recipes and procedures to ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of baked items as directed by management, ensuring compliance with the daily baking schedule.
  2. Measure and weigh ingredients accurately for dough and batter production.
  3. Operate baking equipment, including mixers and ovens, while following standard operating procedures.
  4. Perform barista duties as required and provide training to new staff members.
  5. Maintain cleanliness of cooking and service equipment, including thorough cleaning of work areas and utensils.
  6. Prepare and bake a variety of items, including pizzas, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods for daily sales.
  7. Manage inventory by generating weekly orders for bakery supplies and restocking as necessary.
  8. Track and log day-old bakery items to minimize waste.
  9. Engage in food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and dicing fruits and vegetables.
  10. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all baking and food preparation activities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Understanding of baking operations and equipment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items.
