Position Overview:

The Cook - Mixed Duties is responsible for supporting the operations of food and beverage services, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of product quality, cleanliness, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily operations of food service, creating an inviting environment for customers.
  • Perform front-end duties including greeting patrons, providing product knowledge, and assisting with selections.
  • Operate Point of Sale systems, handling cash and credit transactions efficiently.
  • Prepare and serve made-to-order beverages, snacks, and simple food items.
  • Set up food service counters with a variety of offerings, including hot and cold items.
  • Assist in the preparation of pizzas and daily specials using grilling techniques.
  • Prepare ingredients for salads and other dishes, ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and dining areas, adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Participate in inventory management, including stock counts and waste awareness.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Understanding of sanitation principles related to food service.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate within the designated timeframe.
  • Customer service experience is essential.
