Job Overview

SUMMARY: The Compensation and Benefits Coordinator is accountable for the administration of payroll processes and the management of employee benefits, ensuring accurate eligibility and enrollment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Payroll Management

  • Execute bi-monthly payroll utilizing the ADP payroll system.
  • Validate and enter employee earnings, tax deductions, garnishments, and other withholdings through ADP Workforce Now and associated platforms.
  • Conduct necessary calculations to monitor, verify, and submit data for the disbursement of various employee benefits.
  • Confirm and maintain accurate employee attendance records.
  • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and procedures.
  • Support employees in managing time entries, password resets, schedule modifications, departmental allocations, overtime, and leave requests.
  • Input and verify contributions and deductions for benefit programs.

Benefits Management

  • Collaborate with employee benefit providers such as TIAA, Anthem, IGOE, Compassi, Liberty Mutual, and Gradifi.
  • Assist employees with inquiries regarding benefit eligibility and enrollment processes.
  • Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local regulations related to payroll and benefits.
  • Process and monitor claims for short-term and long-term disability and other leave types, including FMLA and workers' compensation.

General HR Support

  • Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ensure job descriptions are current and accurate.
  • Oversee Livescan clearances and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Provide employment verification for current and former staff members.
  • Maintain comprehensive employee personnel records.
  • Coordinate exit interviews and prepare necessary documentation for these discussions.
  • Act as a resource for employees and supervisors as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To excel in this role, candidates must effectively perform each essential duty to the satisfaction of the administration. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is essential. HR Certification is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of three years of relevant work experience is required.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: A collaborative spirit, positive attitude, patience, sensitivity, flexibility, honesty, integrity, friendliness, fairness, openness, and enthusiasm are vital. The ability to handle interruptions is necessary.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting written documents, along with the ability to compose clear written and verbal communications. Spanish proficiency is an advantage.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Competence in using computer technology for data input and processing is required. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite is necessary.

REASONING ABILITY: The ability to solve practical problems and apply common sense in everyday and emergency situations is essential. Candidates should be able to interpret various instructions and manage multiple tasks effectively.
