Insurance Account Coordinator

As a Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist at New Level Resources, you will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting of claims, carrier communication, and policy management. You will work closely with clients to ensure their insurance needs are met, and provide guidance throughout the claim process. This role requires excellent customer service and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage complex projects and prioritize daily workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor policy expiration dates and ensure team expiration list is updated.
- Track and manage the marketing of each renewal, guiding and assisting clients in preparation of renewal materials.
- Design and deliver renewal presentations, presenting opinions and recommendations to clients.
- Approach prospective clients and acquire new business through the penetration of existing clients.
- Regularly analyze information and assist in product and pricing determinations, negotiating competitive terms, coverage enhancements, retention levels, and premiums.
- Frequently arrange and attend meetings with clients, insurance carrier representatives, and other service providers.
- Review insurance binders for accuracy, prepare confirmations of coverage, invoices, and transmittal to the client.
- Complete account reporting, generate renewal certificates of insurance, and manage midterm policy changes.
- Notify carriers of any potential losses if a change in carrier is processed, and secure premium financing options if requested.
- Track policy issuance and review for accuracy once received.
- Audit requests, request loss runs, prepare letters to auditors, and provide copies to insured.
- Supervise delegated responsibilities to at least one subordinate, ensuring the quality, timeliness, accuracy, and appropriateness of work product provided by Assistant Account Managers, Account Administrators, and Technical Assistants.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to other members of the New Level Resources team.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; undergraduate degree preferred.
- Possess and maintain a valid California Property and Casualty License.
- Five or more years of recent Commercial Lines California insurance industry experience, medical focus not required.
- Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft 365.
- Excellent customer service and listening skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects while working under tight schedules and deadlines.
- Demonstrates considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion.
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- High moral business ethics.
- Superior written/oral communication.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills to successfully prioritize daily workload.
- Positive, courteous, supportive attitude and professional image with all employees, clients, and vendors.
