Job Overview

The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the daily workflow of reagents and consumables inventory within a regulated laboratory environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the processes of receiving, quarantining, storing, and distributing supplies essential for laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage receiving activities for both GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Non-GMP materials within the ERP and Laboratory Management systems.
  • Facilitate the issuance and delivery of materials using Kanban and 5S methodologies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy aligns with departmental objectives.
  • Provide logistics support for all inbound and outbound materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Create material requisitions in the ERP system and collaborate with the Procurement Team to coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory management, health, safety, and waste stream management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those set by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), ISO, and CLIA.
  • Maintain accurate records, both paper and electronic, in accordance with quality system protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience in inventory or materials management.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or molecular technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with inventory and materials management systems.
Skills

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in shipping and receiving processes.
  • Proven attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with collaboration and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data privacy.
