Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the transportation booking process, assigning dangerous good UN classification numbers, and preparing shipping papers. Additionally, they will work with the Global Trade Compliance team to obtain HTS classifications and export classification control numbers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and trade compliance regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the transportation booking process for domestic and international shipments.
  • Assign dangerous good UN classification numbers and prepare shipping papers.
  • Work with the Global Trade Compliance team to obtain HTS classifications and export classification control numbers.
  • Prepare import documents, including customs commercial invoices and USDA Guideline Statements.
  • Transfer outbound sample shipments to logistics service providers and inbound shipments to lab suites.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Previous experience in logistics or trade compliance.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and trade compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
