Setting and Location

Little Lukes Preschool and Childcare Center offers a choice of locations in East Syracuse, Baldwinsville, Fulton, or Oswego, NY.

About the Lead Teacher Role

We are seeking a Lead Teacher to enhance our preschool team. In this position, you will collaborate with our exceptional staff, including Special Education Teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, and Certified Teacher Assistants, to support the children in our care.
  • Provide Outstanding Care and Instruction
    • Facilitate the development and education of preschool children, ages 3 to 5 years, within our inclusive classrooms alongside a Special Education Teacher and certified Teacher Assistants.
    • Deliver developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through engaging, language-based interactions.
  • Classroom Environment
    • Foster a positive, engaging, and structured learning atmosphere where children are encouraged to explore and learn.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies.
    • Establish and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
  • Planning and Data Analysis
    • Develop goals and instructional materials.
    • Coordinate curriculum implementation with the preschool team.
    • Communicate with team members, administrators, and parents regarding children's development and behavior.

  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to provide constructive feedback in a collaborative manner.
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (e.g., Elementary Education).
  • An active NYS Teacher certification is required.
