Position: Lead Preschool Educator

At Little Lukes Preschool and Childcare Center, our mission is to foster a bright future for every child by providing exceptional care and education within our community.

As a Lead Preschool Educator, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of certified professionals, including Special Education Teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, School Psychologists, and Teacher Assistants, to enhance the learning experience for children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exceptional Care and Instruction:
    • Facilitate the educational and developmental growth of preschool children aged 3 to 5 years in an inclusive classroom setting.
    • Deliver developmentally appropriate academic and social skills training to prepare children for their transition to kindergarten through various interactive methods.
  • Classroom Environment:
    • Establish a positive, engaging, and structured learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies.
    • Set and reinforce classroom expectations and routines.
  • Planning and Collaboration:
    • Develop educational goals and prepare instructional materials.
    • Coordinate curriculum delivery with the preschool team.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, administrators, and families regarding children's progress and behavior.

The ideal candidate for the Lead Preschool Educator position will possess:

  • Expertise in fostering the educational, developmental, and social-emotional growth of young children.
  • A warm and engaging demeanor with a focus on family-centered practices.
  • The ability to adapt to the evolving needs of early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative approach to feedback.
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • A valid NYS Teacher certification.
