Job Overview

Position Title: Summer Credit Analyst

Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Summer Credit Analyst to contribute to our operations during the summer internship program. This position provides a valuable chance to acquire hands-on experience in credit evaluation, aiding in the assessment of creditworthiness and risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the examination of financial documents, credit evaluations, and other pertinent information to determine the creditworthiness of clients or enterprises.
  • Support the appraisal of credit requests by performing risk evaluations and scrutinizing financial records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to collect and interpret data concerning credit exposure, repayment patterns, and financial health.
  • Draft comprehensive credit analysis reports and recommendations, encompassing risk evaluations, credit limits, and approval suggestions.
  • Oversee and manage credit portfolios, identifying potential credit challenges and proposing remedial measures.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of credit policies and protocols to ensure effective risk oversight.
  • Engage in credit discussions and contribute insights on credit strategies, risk management, and portfolio analysis.
  • Assist with various credit-related tasks and projects as required, including data gathering, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (must be a current student).
  • Fundamental understanding of credit analysis concepts, financial statements, and risk management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis software; familiarity with credit management tools is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret financial data and offer actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with team members and present findings.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and thoroughness in credit analysis and reporting.
  • Willingness to learn and apply credit analysis techniques and methodologies in a practical environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
