Position Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic thinker to fill the role of Business Strategy Analyst. This position is essential for evaluating market dynamics, competitive environments, and internal strengths to formulate strategic insights and assist in informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
    • Perform comprehensive research and assessment of market trends, industry shifts, and competitive positioning.
    • Spot opportunities and risks in the external landscape that could influence business strategies.
  2. Strategic Development and Planning:
    • Assist in crafting strategic plans, business proposals, and long-term goals in partnership with senior leadership.
    • Help outline strategic priorities, initiatives, and investment avenues based on thorough analysis and insights.
  3. Financial Analysis and Modeling:
    • Create financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to assess strategic alternatives and business outcomes.
    • Conduct valuation assessments and financial viability studies for prospective projects and investments.
  4. Performance Metrics and Evaluation:
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge progress against strategic objectives.
    • Evaluate and report on business performance, emphasizing areas for enhancement and optimization.
  5. Reporting and Business Intelligence:
    • Develop insightful reports, presentations, and dashboards to convey analytical findings and strategic recommendations.
    • Communicate findings and suggestions to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
  6. Collaboration Across Functions:
    • Work closely with cross-departmental teams, including finance, marketing, operations, and technology, to ensure alignment of strategies and initiatives.
    • Engage with business units to comprehend their strategic goals and provide necessary analytical support.
  7. Risk Management and Assessment:
    • Identify strategic risks and uncertainties, developing mitigation strategies to safeguard and enhance business value.
    • Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to evaluate potential impacts on strategic initiatives.
  8. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Remain updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in strategy and business analysis.
    • Lead continuous improvement efforts and contribute to the advancement of strategic planning processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • X+ years of experience in a Strategy Analyst role, Management Consulting, or a similar capacity, ideally within a corporate strategy or consulting framework.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in financial modeling, statistical evaluation, and strategic planning methodologies.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for synthesizing complex information into actionable insights.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is advantageous.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex ideas and concepts to senior executives.
  • A strategic mindset with keen business acumen and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and challenges.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting, focusing on achieving business objectives.
