Job Description

LeoStella is a leading small satellite design and manufacturing company based in the Seattle area. We are revolutionizing the way high-quality satellite constellations are built at scale. Our focus is on developing and using intelligent and agile engineering and manufacturing processes to accelerate the development and production of small-sat constellations, all while lowering costs and increasing on-orbit capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver customer satisfaction from proposals through satellite delivery
  • Manage evolving and ambiguous customer needs and triage customer change requests as product advocate
  • Create program schedule and lead internal cross-functional team from kick off to initial production delivery
  • Provide customer deliverables such as specification compliance, schedule, program reviews, and design reviews
  • Track progress against development schedule, remove constraints, and identify risk mitigation plans to maintain program schedule
  • Manage customer and partner company communications in compliance with export control
  • Coordinate and resolve cross-functional trade studies to meet requirement while maintaining target cost
  • Develop and maintain a program staffing plan/forecast consistent with program budget and work with organizational leadership to ensure program is staffed to plan
  • Use and maintain company tools for task management, schedule maintenance, ERP planning
  • Lead and maintain program quality assurance plan, metrics, and root cause corrective action
  • Create, own, and maintain executive program dashboards using program office methodology and templates
Requirements
  • Ability to work self-directed, seeking out issues; small and large problems alike
  • Demonstrated product development leadership skills with an emphasis on aero or space products
  • Excellent written and oral presenting skills, with the ability to clearly and competently convey program plans, issue resolution, and overall status to both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Strong ability to manage a diverse team of engineers, suppliers, and production teams and achieve technical agreement both internally and within customer teams
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of industry experience with satellite development and/or launch, or a related aerospace industry
  • 5+ years' experience in program management of life-cycle development resulting in hardware shipments
  • Experience and/or ability to work with technical teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, to customer and/or suppliers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing LEO or GEO satellite technical programs
  • Proven track record managing and growing external customer relationships
Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation range is $160-205K + 10% target bonus
