Job Overview:

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor responsible for developing and overseeing budgets, optimizing processes, reviewing architectural plans, preparing estimates, and engaging with contractors and vendors. Building strong relationships with clients and site managers is essential.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans for evaluation, including benchmarking.
  • Develop various value engineering and life cycle costing alternatives.
  • Identify potential risks and assist in maintaining the risk register.
  • Participate in pre-contract meetings and contribute to the procurement strategy.
  • Attend client meetings alongside senior team members, documenting discussions and action items.
  • Engage in design team meetings, advising on cost implications and implementing outcomes.
  • Support lease negotiations and validate tenant improvement allowances.
  • Assist in creating project templates and managing change order logs, invoice logs, and cost reports.
  • Conduct measurements and research pricing for development assessments.
  • Draft and finalize pre-qualification questionnaires for review.
  • Review and summarize PQQ responses.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost management.
  • MRICS accreditation or progress towards chartership is preferred.
  • Proficient in advanced functions of CostX for estimates and bills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of current construction technologies and sustainability trends.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
