Position Summary
We are in search of a dynamic and results-driven Cost Accounting Analyst to undertake various financial and cost accounting functions. This role will encompass the management of operational tasks and other accounting responsibilities carried out by manufacturing units, including the oversight of monthly and quarterly activities. The individual will be accountable for reconciliations and balance sheet evaluations, executing intricate manufacturing tasks that encompass cost accounting, inventory management, and advanced general accounting duties as delineated by the Controllership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and oversee annual costing and inventory processes.
  • Update and maintain inventory standard costs within the ERP system, identify root causes of costing discrepancies, and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly closing activities, ensuring accurate recording of movements in the standard cost revaluation account and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Facilitate and deliver manufacturing activities, perform reconciliations, and execute balance sheet assessments.
  • Provide oversight and support for quarterly calculations of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Engage in the execution and reconciliation of annual physical inventory counts.
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers with general ledgers.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners and assist with external audits.
  • Maintain robust internal controls.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Cost Accounting principles.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA certification.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) systems.
  • Experience with manufacturing cost systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Accounting experience within a manufacturing or operational context.
