Job Overview
Responsible for the oversight of installation, upkeep, and repair of equipment related to WFSC. Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure effective execution of professional activities within WFSC.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties Include:
  • Ensure all installation procedures for WFSC-related equipment comply with regulatory standards and operational requirements.
  • Oversee routine and preventive maintenance tasks to guarantee efficient and reliable equipment operation.
  • Manage the repair process for malfunctioning equipment, including troubleshooting and coordination with repair teams.
  • Provide training and support to employees on maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and compliance with nuclear regulations.
  • Lead a team in collaboration with radiation protection for the maintenance and repair of WFSC equipment.
  • Work with management to develop, forecast, and implement plans for maintaining and upgrading WFSC equipment, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
  • Respond to urgent facility issues such as power outages or loss of ventilation.
  • Act as the WFSC Digital Asset Administrator.
  • Coordinate with facilities and engineering to support component or system replacements to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Schedule required facility inspections to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Be accessible after normal working hours, including weekends.
  • Participate in the Building Manager Emergency Organization.
Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years of experience;

    OR

    Associate degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • At least 2-3 years of mechanical/electrical/PLC maintenance experience in a manufacturing or facility operation.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Ability to gain unescorted access to areas associated with 10CFR 37 quantities of radioactive material.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in a technical field.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or technical environment involving mechanical, electrical, and PLCs.
  • Experience in a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated environment and ability to interpret engineering documentation such as mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in facility or nuclear procedure and training development.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret plant/facility drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
