About the Role

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Education Manager to join our team. This is an advanced role that involves the management, assessment, planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of clinical and educational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, supervise, implement, and evaluate nursing educational systems, programs, projects, and policies that promote and support the accomplishment of educational goals.
  • Prepare budgets, control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations, and/or recommend capital allocations.
  • Review, modify, and evaluate educational recordkeeping and reporting systems as necessary.
  • Conduct and/or participate in research activities related to nursing and other associated areas.
  • Determine the educational needs of employees necessary to accomplish the objectives of Patient Care Services through collaboration with line and staff personnel.
  • Develop and implement learning packages, presentations, and other educational materials to meet the needs of staff on a 24-hour basis.
  • Communicate the plan for educational programs/materials in such a way as to encourage and foster participation, involvement, and cooperation.
  • Select and develop appropriate instructional strategies for educational activities.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs with future recommendations.
  • Coordinate activities for development and updating of orientation plans and other educational materials for assigned areas.
  • Utilize the Performance-Based Development System (PBDS) for assessment and evaluation of learning needs.
