Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records

  • Train staff in OSHA and first aid
  • Treat students visiting the nurse's office
  • Initiate referrals to parents, school personnel, and community health resources
  • Provide ongoing health counseling with students, parents, and school personnel
  • Plan and implement school health management protocols for students with chronic health problems
  • Serve as a resource person to classroom teachers and administrators in health instruction
  • Coordinate school and community health activities
Requirements:
  • New York State License as a Registered Nurse required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
