Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at the Tenderloin Housing Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facilities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff and clients, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure timely and quality completion of all building maintenance needs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with government health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate and assist in the delivery of maintenance and safety training for new and existing staff.
  • Manage capital improvement projects and oversee the punch list during the acquisition process.
  • Ensure compliance requirements outlined in regulatory agreements and/or other legal documents are adhered to at all times.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in professional building maintenance or a related construction field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience training and supervising maintenance staff.
  • Excellent skills in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
  • Knowledge of janitorial practices and procedures, including sanitation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fire-safety and building codes.
  • Valid California Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Ability to drive a 17' van/truck.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to produce and analyze reports, and write business correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to a broad range of people.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply language from manuals, policies, technical procedures, and instructions.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, communicate orally, and write in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse, low-income, homeless and/or formerly homeless population.
  • Experience working in non-profit or public sector.
