Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Veterinary Liaison/VA for our Emergency and Critical Care department. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective communication and support within our emergency team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for communication among clients, veterinarians, and support personnel.
- Monitor and document vital signs as necessary.
- Identify and report any changes in patient condition to the veterinarian.
- Provide guidance to pet owners, prepare medications, and facilitate patient discharge.
- Assist support staff as required.
Work Schedule: Options include 4-10 hour shifts from Sunday to Wednesday or 3-12 hour shifts from Thursday to Saturday. Please note that shift availability may vary.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital environment is required, with emergency or urgent care experience being advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative setting and a commitment to building long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $18 to $23, with a potential shift differential of $25 to $35 based on specific shifts.
