Job Summary:
The Front Desk Coordinator is a vital member of the Physical Therapy Department, responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a timely manner, providing accurate information and assistance to patients and staff.
- Manage patient registration, scheduling, and insurance verification processes with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process payments, handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions, and prepare receipts with accuracy.
- Distribute mail and packages to clinical staff, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
- Coordinate with the Department Manager to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure seamless clinic operations.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Physical Therapy Department.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access) and other PC software, with experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Three years of related office experience, with a strong background in administrative support and customer service.
Working Conditions:
This role requires sitting for up to eight hours per day, with frequent standing, twisting, and turning. The ability to lift, carry, and pull objects up to 50 pounds is essential, as is excellent vision and hearing.
