Our responsibilities also encompass providing technology services and support, consulting, business process analysis, and project management.

Who we are looking for
We are in search of a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist who is enthusiastic about customer service, collaboration, and innovation. The ideal candidate will execute and manage the daily operations of the IT network security program, safeguarding network systems from unauthorized access or malicious activities. This role involves participating in network incident response and investigation, as well as updating and developing information security protocols. On-call support during non-business hours, including nights and weekends, may be required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor alerts and respond to security incidents by investigating, correlating, triaging, and escalating security events.
  • Assist in maintaining information security processes, products, and systems to mitigate cyber and technology-related risks.
  • Conduct technology system security audits and risk assessments.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and implement appropriate threat mitigation strategies (e.g., anti-phishing campaigns, metrics, and communications); recommend and establish industry best practice security standards while ensuring compliance with citywide policies and standards.
  • Review access to information systems and audit role-based access permissions.
Minimum qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2 years of recent experience in security and networking systems supporting various security technologies, infrastructure, and team cultures.
  • Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for a period should another position become available.

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to undergo fingerprinting with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
