About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team at Fisher Investments. As a key member of our technology organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our enterprise architecture environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture and Design: Develop and implement architectural principles and standards across portions of applications, infrastructure, and information security.
  • Platform Selection: Define the architecture and lead the selection of important platforms (both cloud and on-premises), products, and vendors to be used for programs across the enterprise.
  • Application Architecture: Ensure the architecture of applications and systems (especially cloud-based data and integration architecture, with Salesforce FSC as a foundation, for Sales and Client Service functions) is consistent with enterprise needs.
  • Technology Roadmaps: Lead technology and business teams to evaluate current technology solutions and plan, design, and coordinate multi-year roadmaps for all applications and support activities.
  • Technology Landscape: Survey the technology landscape to identify systems and solutions that align with firm strategy while collaborating with executive leadership to recommend, implement and maintain appropriate technology solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Function as SME to Technology Business Services, Infrastructure and Operations, Information Security, 3rd party vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Optimization: Facilitate optimization of current state architecture during the transformation to future state architecture.
  • Proof of Concepts: Develop POCs to facilitate architectural decisions and provide guidance to implementation teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Support problem-solving with pragmatic architectures and implementation approaches.
  • Communication: Tailor presentations and conversations to the appropriate audience: business stakeholders, technical executives, or developers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ year's combination of solution / technical / business architecture roles.
  • Leadership: 7+ years of experience leading solution / technical architecture team.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of architecture experience at a large wealth management or asset management firm.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Sales and Client Servicing in a wealth management context.
  • Skills: Experience with application, data, integration, security, and technology platform architectures and implementation patterns.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud strongly preferred, Salesforce architecture certification preferred, and experience with Azure data and integration services preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Highly advanced ability to investigate, analyze issues to take to resolution, experience implementing multiple complex enterprise level changes simultaneously, and proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing employees.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
