Experience with AWS is preferred, although familiarity with other cloud platforms is acceptable. There is a significant potential for this position to transition into a full-time role, contingent upon performance.



Role Summary:


The Solution Architect is accountable for overseeing the entire application architecture and development lifecycle, transforming business requirements into operational software systems, services, and solutions within a designated domain or application portfolio.

This position necessitates expertise in full-stack application development, database architecture, and systems implementation, as the architect will devise technical solutions to meet complex business demands.

The Solution Architect will work closely with business and engineering stakeholders to convert business needs into comprehensive functional, technical, and design specifications for development teams.

Deep technical knowledge in distributed computing, cloud architecture, data/database design, and web application development is essential, along with experience in managing application portfolios. Familiarity with financial systems and relevant application expertise is advantageous but not required.



Key Qualifications:


1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, ideally with a background as a software engineer, demonstrating a history of delivering impactful software products efficiently.

2. At least 3 years of experience as an Application or Solutions Architect, delivering scalable enterprise solutions utilizing modern cloud-native technologies (AWS preferred).

3. Proven experience in implementing reusable software components and shared libraries for enterprise-wide applications in languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, and Python.

4. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, cloud computing, and non-functional software architecture aspects.

5. Knowledge of InfoSec and DevSecOps principles, particularly using AWS technologies, is essential. Relevant certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate, are highly desirable.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide guidance on engineering topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7. Experience mentoring and coaching software developers on system design, code quality, and maintainability.



Responsibilities:


1. Lead the design of full-stack solutions based on industry best practices, including microservices, streaming technologies, and event-driven architectures that promote modular, decoupled, and integrated designs.

2. Collaborate with domain architects, subject matter experts, delivery leads, and product owners to develop timely solutions for business challenges while offering insights and consultation to software delivery leaders and technical leads across various domains.

3. Enhance non-functional requirements such as reusability, scalability, maintainability, performance, availability, and reliability.

4. Identify and implement software patterns and artifacts (reference architecture, libraries, and reusable frameworks) for common use cases, promoting effective pattern utilization during software development to uphold sound architectural principles and best design practices.

5. Provide support for operations and support teams, including conducting root cause analysis and preventative measures.

6. Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation to sustain system integrity and facilitate knowledge sharing.
