Patient Services Associate Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring a positive experience for all patients and families.
  • Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and intake processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Manage patient calls and inquiries, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, updating insurance and billing information as needed.
  • Perform point-of-service activities, including collecting copays and recording accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding patient flow and wait times.
  • Issue referrals and obtain pre-authorizations as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance requirements and billing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of medical office experience or 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Advanced degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
