Position Overview:

Patient Centered Services, LLC is seeking dedicated Clinical Pharmacists to undertake essential medication verification and dispensing responsibilities within our inpatient pharmacy department, specifically in a pediatric healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately verify and dispense medications in a timely manner.
  • Assess and interpret physician orders to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Deliver comprehensive drug information and education to healthcare staff, patients, and their families.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient medication therapies for efficacy, adverse effects, and possible drug interactions.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary rounds, collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient care.
  • Maintain precise documentation of medication dispensing and patient consultations.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and institutional policies.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems, including Cerner and DoseEdge, for managing pharmacy operations.
  • Support the training and oversight of pharmacy technicians and interns.

Qualifications:

Licenses and Education:

  • Must possess a valid DC Pharmacist License.
  • PharmD degree is required for the Clinical Pharmacist position.

Experience:

  • Preferred experience in an inpatient hospital environment.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Cerner and DoseEdge is advantageous.
  • Pediatric experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

  • In-depth knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical pharmacy practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

Work Schedule:

Shifts consist of 8 hours with a rotating schedule that may include:

  • Morning shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
  • Evening shifts (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)

Availability for both weekday and weekend shifts is required.
