Position Overview: As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing medication orders for inpatients, outpatients, and employees while maintaining accurate computerized medication profiles. You may work in either a centralized or decentralized pharmacy model, collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals as necessary. Your role will include monitoring patient medication therapies for safety and efficacy, providing drug information, and supervising support staff to ensure the efficient delivery of pharmacy services. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, you may assume essential responsibilities and perform managerial duties. All professional activities must be conducted ethically, and you may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participate in on-call coverage for emergency dispensing needs.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current District of Columbia pharmacist license.
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting or completion of a pharmacy practice residency is preferred.
- Experience in sterile compounding is highly desirable.
- Current CPR certification is required.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating Shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation: Salary ranges from a minimum of 55.74 per hour to a maximum of 91.92 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
