Job Overview

Patient Centered Services, LLC is seeking dedicated Clinical Pharmacists to undertake essential medication verification and dispensing responsibilities within our inpatient pharmacy setting, specifically in a pediatric healthcare environment. The selected candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and timely delivery of medications to our young patients, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately verify and dispense medications in a timely manner.
  • Review and interpret physician orders to confirm appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Offer drug information and educational support to healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
  • Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain precise records of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner and Production Platform DoseEdge for managing pharmacy operations.
  • Assist in the training and oversight of pharmacy technicians and interns.
Qualifications
  • Licenses and Education:
    • DC Pharmacist License is mandatory for the Clinical Pharmacist position.
    • PharmD degree is required for the Clinical Pharmacist role.
  • Experience:
    • Preferred experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
    • Familiarity with EHR platform Cerner and Production Platform DoseEdge is advantageous.
    • Pediatric experience is a plus but not essential.

Work Schedule
  • Shifts: 8-hour shifts with a rotating schedule that may include:
    • AM (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
    • PM (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
  • Availability: Weekday and weekend shifts are required.
Compensation: $145,600.00 per year
