Job Overview
Patient Centered Services, LLC is seeking dedicated Clinical Pharmacists to undertake essential medication verification and dispensing responsibilities within our inpatient pharmacy setting, specifically in a pediatric healthcare environment. The selected candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and timely delivery of medications to our young patients, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and dispense medications in a timely manner.
- Review and interpret physician orders to confirm appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Offer drug information and educational support to healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.
- Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and work collaboratively with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain precise records of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner and Production Platform DoseEdge for managing pharmacy operations.
- Assist in the training and oversight of pharmacy technicians and interns.
- Licenses and Education:
- DC Pharmacist License is mandatory for the Clinical Pharmacist position.
- PharmD degree is required for the Clinical Pharmacist role.
- Experience:
- Preferred experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Familiarity with EHR platform Cerner and Production Platform DoseEdge is advantageous.
- Pediatric experience is a plus but not essential.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical pharmacy practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
- Shifts: 8-hour shifts with a rotating schedule that may include:
- AM (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
- PM (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
- Availability: Weekday and weekend shifts are required.
