About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Check-in and Registration: Perform patient check-in at the time of visit and complete all necessary paperwork to ensure an efficient admitting process.
  • Phone and Appointment Management: Answer phone calls, direct them appropriately, and schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
  • Insurance and Patient Information: Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collect copays and deductible amounts, and copy/scanning patient access-related hardcopy materials into the electronic medical record.
  • Chart Preparation and Patient Check-out: Prepare charts for patient appointments, ensuring all necessary information is complete, and conduct all functions associated with patient check-out, including pricing services and collecting patient responsibility payments.
  • Record Filing and Retrieval: Perform duties involving record filing and retrieval, and assist with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: 0-1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
