Our Ultra High Net Worth Multi-Generational Families team specializes in assisting post-liquidity families and corporate executives who require intricate estate and income tax planning and compliance. Our professionals adopt a comprehensive approach, simultaneously evaluating relevant income tax, estate, gift, generation-skipping, philanthropic, retirement, and trust components of a client's planning and compliance requirements. We collaborate closely with our clients, their legal representatives, and other advisors, alongside subject matter experts both within and outside RSM, to fulfill our clients' objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance to ultra-high net worth clients on a comprehensive range of tax services, including wealth transfer, charitable giving, retirement planning, and tax compliance.
  • Oversee and manage the engagement team focused on individual, fiduciary, gift, generation-skipping, and estate taxation, including the planning and execution of client tax engagements.
  • Collaborate with RSM specialists on matters related to state and local taxation as well as international tax issues.
  • Offer leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisory team members.
  • Drive growth initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership, focusing on opportunities with existing clients and prospective clients.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with clients and other professional advisors through a commitment to exceptional client service.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field.
  • CPA license in the principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D., or enrolled agent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation, including recent experience managing client engagements.
  • Proficient in individual, fiduciary, and investment partnership taxation, with an understanding of complex investments and their tax implications, as well as estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxation.
  • Familiarity with multi-state taxation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • LL.M. in Taxation and/or Master's in Taxation.
