Job Summary

The Vice President of Operations (VPO) plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Family Service Association's support services and administration. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and improving the quality of Human Resources, Information Technology, Quality Improvement, Communications, Facilities, and Transportation departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train, advise, and coach employees and leadership on policy and procedures that align with the company's vision and mission.
  • Participate in strategic planning and ensure appropriate service support for future development and growth.
  • Oversee agency HR functions, including compliance with internal policies and laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement responsive, people-focused standards of service within the organization.
  • Remain informed of national, regional, and local developments and legal or regulatory issues that impact service operations.
  • Ensure organization-wide compliance with all laws and regulations related to IT, HR, Facilities, Communications, Transportation, and COA accreditation.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10+ years of leadership experience, including Human Resources, preferably in the nonprofit, social service, or similar industries.
  • Master's degree in the field of Business Administration or a related field. SHRM-CP or SHRM-CSP preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the agency's mission, vision, and values.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, cultivate, and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively balance competing priorities.
