We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our manufacturing operations and drive lean manufacturing initiatives. As the Director of Lean Manufacturing, you will be responsible for optimizing shop floor operations, ensuring compliance with quality systems, and implementing process improvements to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead validation audits, including ISO 9001:2015 and UL audits, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Design and implement lean layouts, process flows, and 5S programs to improve workflow and productivity.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure process capability.
- Support purchasing with supplier approval and assessment of manufacturing and technology capabilities.
- Develop and implement cross-training plans for manufacturing personnel.
- Work with sales, engineering, and purchasing to provide high-quality products in a timely manner while maintaining profit margins.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-year college degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading quality systems and performing audits.
- Minimum 2 years of previous manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data collection methods and analysis of KPIs.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification.
- ISO 9001:2015 Auditor training.
