YAI is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our Community Habilitation team in Westchester and surrounding areas. As a Community Habilitation staff member, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, teaching life skills and promoting community integration. Key responsibilities include adhering to policies and procedures, using effective communication and time management skills, and providing support in community and home settings. Additional responsibilities include completing mandatory trainings, meeting OPWDD Core Competencies, and ensuring health, wellness, and safety. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, work or life experience in the intellectual/developmental disabilities field, and basic written and verbal communication skills. Benefits include DailyPay, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation/holidays and sick time, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching contribution. Compensation is $18.00/hour.
