Budget Manager

The Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Budget Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the budget preparation process and performing financial analysis to support strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads and senior leadership to establish financial priorities and objectives.
- Lead the financial forecasting process, working closely with the Finance team to integrate forecasting tools and methodologies.
- Regularly monitor financial performance, highlighting key variances, risks, and opportunities to the senior leadership team.
- Ensure efficient allocation of financial resources across various programs, initiatives, and investments.
- Stay updated on relevant financial regulations, policies, and best practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Budget Manager or in a similar financial role, preferably with an investment fund, financial institution, or governmental organization.
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Experience and familiarity with strategic planning or workforce planning processes.
- Advanced experience in Excel or other budget modeling and forecasting tools.
