Budget Director

The Austin Transit Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Budget Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing, managing, and supervising all budget, financial monitoring, planning, and analysis activities for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems, analyzing and interpreting financial trends, and forecasting and preparing financial and management reports.
- Direct, plan, and oversee the development, preparation, revision, and presentation of operating, capital, and revenue budgets.
- Supervise financial personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of financial planning and analysis activities.
- Collaborate with management to ensure that financial plans are created and implemented to achieve business strategies.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize resources, identifying and analyzing budget, financial, and capital issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
- Seven (7) years of experience in performing complex financial analysis, developing, monitoring, and analyzing operating and capital budgets and financial statements.
- Three (3) years of supervising financial personnel.
- Knowledge of modern methods of fiscal planning, budget preparation, cost benefit analysis, and capital financing.
- Familiarity with the process for financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Effective leadership, supervisory, project management, and problem-solving skills.
