Lead Process Improvement Engineer

The Lead Process Improvement Engineer is a pivotal professional who remains informed about advancements in their domain and contributes to strategic direction by applying insights to their role and the organization. Recognized as a technical expert in a specific area within the company, this role requires a foundational understanding of commercial dynamics. Typically, there are several individuals within the organization who possess the same level of expertise. Strong communication and diplomatic skills are essential to guide, influence, and persuade others, particularly colleagues from different departments and occasional external stakeholders. The role has a significant impact on the area through intricate deliverables and provides counsel related to the technology or operations of the organization. The work influences an entire area, ultimately affecting the overall performance and efficiency of the job family.

The Lead Process Improvement Engineer will collaborate with leaders across various sectors to implement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, identifying opportunities for business simplification, and reducing risks and costs. The ideal candidate will have a background in project support, process enhancement, and change management. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to diplomatically influence others, are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively collaborate within a multi-disciplinary engineering project team to deliver process solutions that align with desired outcomes and budget constraints.
  • Evaluate opportunities for innovation.
  • Identify new avenues for growth, including the development of new value propositions.
  • Enhance business and operational models.
  • Simplify organizational frameworks.
  • Create robust franchise processes.
  • Work alongside business and function leaders to pinpoint significant opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction.
  • Craft compelling executive presentations that advocate for specific actions to decision-makers.
  • Establish and maintain detailed project plans while managing tactical project requirements, including resource allocation and task management.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, addressing uncertainties in available data.
  • Formulate hypotheses and derive actionable insights that challenge existing paradigms.
  • Independently create components of executive documents.
  • Effectively convey complex concepts to senior executive audiences.
  • Build relationships and influence senior stakeholders regarding strategic directions.
  • Manage small teams, focusing on productivity and resource management to achieve objectives.
  • Structure and execute personal workstreams; anticipate challenges and implement mitigation strategies; recognize dependencies across workstreams.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, demonstrating a commitment to the organization's reputation and safeguarding its interests by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in process engineering.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive approach with a proven track record in driving large-scale transformations and implementing impactful initiatives.
  • Familiarity with various problem-solving methodologies and the ability to optimize techniques for optimal results.
  • Knowledge of the financial services sector and technology organizations.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
