Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Professional to join our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating sports and fitness programs for youth, while promoting a safe and supportive environment that fosters physical and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sports and fitness programs that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Supervise and mentor youth participants, providing guidance and support to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with staff and community partners to promote program participation and engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with youth in a sports or fitness setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle driving record check.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and varying levels of noise. The position involves lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, as well as working in indoor and outdoor environments.
