Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Leader to join our team at arc After School and Experiential Education. As a Program Leader, you will be responsible for leading and implementing high-quality after-school programs for K-12 youth, focusing on social-emotional learning, homework support, and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging program activities that promote social-emotional learning, academic support, and recreational experiences for youth.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with youth, parents, and school staff to ensure a safe and supportive program environment.
  • Collaborate with program staff to plan and implement program events, workshops, and activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality programming.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance program leadership skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, child development, youth studies) or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of experience working in after-school programs or youth recreation, preferably in ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to program quality and youth development.
  • Valid TB test, Live Scan background check, and current vaccination for Covid-19.
  • CPR and first aid training or certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • English-Spanish bilingualism or proficiency.
  • Experience working with youth in a program setting, with a focus on social-emotional learning and academic support.
