Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Professional to join our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating sports and fitness programs for our youth members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Design and deliver high-quality sports and fitness programs that meet the needs of our youth members, including planning, organizing, and promoting activities.
  • Program Supervision and Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate the implementation of sports and fitness programs, ensuring that they are safe, effective, and meet the needs of our members.
  • Youth Engagement and Development: Foster positive relationships with our youth members, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them achieve their goals and develop their skills.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with sports and fitness programs, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality support to our members.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and members to ensure that programs are delivered to a high standard, and collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, reporting, and budgeting, to ensure that programs are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of college experience or equivalent experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse groups, and experience working with youth and sports programs.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold a valid driver's license, pass a motor vehicle driving record check, and pass a criminal background check.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and a high level of physical activity. The position involves lifting, bending, and standing for long periods, and requires the ability to work in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor environments.
