Job Title: Water Resource Control Engineer

Join the State Water Resources Control Board as a Water Resource Control Engineer and play a critical role in protecting California's water resources. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs), and Water Reclamation Requirements (WRRs) for Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTWs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage NPDES permits, WDRs, and WRRs for POTWs
  • Work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects and respond timely to questions/requests
  • Become proficient in required duties and responsibilities
Requirements:
  • Essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, and ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to perform the assigned duties of the class
  • Current and valid driver's license (if required)
