Job Summary

The State Water Resources Control Board is seeking a highly skilled Water Resource Control Engineer to join our team in the Commercial, Industrial and Institutional Storm Water Permitting Unit. This position is located in downtown Los Angeles and offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team to protect and preserve California's water resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective storm water management strategies to protect water quality and public health.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor storm water management systems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in storm water management, water quality control, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
