Senior GitLab Systems Engineer

Position Overview:

Purisolve, Inc. is in search of a skilled and knowledgeable GitLab Engineer who is a U.S. Citizen to enhance our innovative team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and supporting our enterprise GitLab and PostgreSQL databases within our DevSecOps CICD pipeline. The successful candidate will collaborate across various organizational teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our GitLab infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the enterprise GitLab and PostgreSQL environments.
  • Ensure high availability of GitLab services and manage clustering.
  • Integrate GitLab with tools such as ServiceNow and Qualys.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and optimize the DevSecOps CICD pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot issues and perform regular maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the GitLab environment.
  • Support and maintain the RHEL infrastructure that underpins the GitLab and PostgreSQL environments.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, particularly in a GitLab context.
  • Demonstrated experience with GitLab High Availability clustering for large-scale environments (3,000+ users).
  • Familiarity with GitLab GEO across active/active sites is preferred.
  • Experience with CICD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Registered for Selective Service (if male).
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in integrating GitLab with ServiceNow.
  • Experience in integrating GitLab with Qualys.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
