Material Management Supervisor

Rantec Power Systems Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor for our 1st Shift.
About Us: Rantec, an esteemed designer and manufacturer of power supplies for military and aerospace applications, is committed to delivering excellence in engineering and production.
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing personnel and all material functions, including the management of material receipts, storage, issuance to manufacturing, and shipping processes. This role will also involve recording all inventory transactions through Rantec's Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software. The supervisor will report on inventory control and shipping/receiving metrics and will be tasked with identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate Material Handling and Shipping/Receiving staffing roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor inventory levels and movements utilizing both manual and computerized inventory systems (MRP).
- Direct tasks related to the management of finished goods, work-in-process (WIP), and raw materials.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects, including methodologies such as 5S and Lean.
- Receive materials into stock locations and perform transactions, ensuring proper storage based on requirements.
- Assemble production kits for manufacturing.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support documentation functions.
- Assist with Supplier or Internal Corrective Action Requests (CARs) as necessary.
- Coordinate training and development for Material Handlers and Shipping/Receiving staff.
- Review customer packaging and shipping requirements to ensure compliance with processes.
- Develop or update Operating Instructions based on new or revised requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively support manufacturing operations.
- Preferred 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to interpret documentation such as drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Familiarity with inventory management software (MRP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Proven ability to maintain organization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certifications are a plus.
Compensation: $35.50 Hourly
