Position Overview

TELACU Residential Management, Inc. (TRM) is dedicated to developing exceptional living environments, fostering vibrant communities across California. Our commitment to excellence ensures that each community is managed with the utmost care, prioritizing the well-being of our residents.

The Community Services Supervisor (CSS) will oversee designated housing communities, collaborating closely with on-site personnel and the management team. The CSS will actively engage with all team members within their assigned portfolio, ensuring a comprehensive and ongoing approach to resident support.

The CSS will assess and manage wellness plans and transition strategies in partnership with Resident Service Coordinators. Building alliances with local health and social service providers is essential, as the CSS will facilitate care management meetings to address complex resident needs through coordinated efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster positive, productive relationships with assigned communities and colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for new Resident Service Coordinators and ensure the RSC manual is current.
  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff on company policies and procedures.
  • Review financial and performance reports regularly, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for team members, implementing development plans as necessary.
  • Approve expense reports and manage payroll functions, including time-off requests.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Resident Services Programs to oversee reasonable accommodations and modifications.
  • Work with colleagues to enhance performance and implement corporate policies effectively.
  • Ensure accurate resident and program data management through AASC Online.
  • Encourage team members to develop programs that promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Facilitate collaboration with local agencies for seamless transitions back to the community.
  • Organize and lead meetings with community partners for strategic planning.
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly management reports and other required documentation.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for Resident Service Coordinator positions.
  • Promote positive tenant relations through organized resident programs.
  • Participate in staff and departmental meetings as required.
  • Be available for evening or weekend work as needed.
  • Engage in special projects and provide coverage at various TRM locations as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Completion of relevant coursework or seminars as per HUD Handbook requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, or Counseling, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of four years of experience working with elderly populations or individuals with developmental challenges.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Preferred experience in health education and chronic disease management programs.
  • Familiarity with AASC Online and HUD software is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.

Travel Requirements

Frequent local travel is expected, with potential out-of-state travel for conferences and training sessions. A valid California Driver's License and proof of insurance are required.

Full COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory by the first day of employment, with documentation required.

Physical and Environmental Considerations

This position may involve prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, with occasional standing, walking, and lifting of up to 20 lbs. Exposure to various environmental conditions may occur.
