Overview

Summary/ObjectiveThe role of a Project Field Manager entails overseeing on-site operations for all aspects of assigned projects. This includes the coordination of subcontractors, management of materials and equipment, and ensuring adherence to specifications while maintaining project timelines and budget constraints. The Project Field Manager is dedicated to achieving both personal and project goals related to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Service. This position is pivotal in supervising field activities to enhance the Company's quality standards while fulfilling client expectations and ensuring a safe working environment. All business interactions, both internal and external, must be conducted in accordance with Company policies and uphold a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. Proficient in API650 and API651 standards.2. Manage projects from inception to completion.3. Monitor daily costs of assigned projects and ensure accurate documentation of any changes.4. Analyze project proposals and plans to establish timelines, budget constraints, operational procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation for various project phases.5. Develop work plans and staffing strategies for each project phase, facilitating recruitment or assignment of personnel as necessary.6. Coordinate efforts among various subcontractors.7. Collaborate with project teams to outline work plans and assign roles, responsibilities, and authority.8. Track project progress and implement necessary adjustments to schedules or plans.9. Prepare, review, and present project reports to management, clients, and staff.10. Provide technical guidance and resolve issues in collaboration with project personnel.11. Review all documentation (e.g., payroll, service receipts, evaluations) for accuracy and compliance.12. Maintain organization of shops and equipment.13. Advocate for the adoption of innovative methods and technologies to enhance profitability without compromising Company quality standards.14. Ensure project safety and foster a secure work environment for all personnel.15. Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills with clients, subcontractors, and team members.16. Lead all rescue operations as required.17. Adhere to all Company safety, Quality Control/Quality Assurance protocols, and OSHA regulations.18. Comprehend and communicate mechanical concepts effectively (e.g., drawings).19. Maintain composure and focus under pressure and challenging conditions.20. Participate in required training sessions as mandated by the Company and clients.21. Successfully complete all required drug/alcohol testing and background checks.

22. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position carries significant supervisory responsibilities.

Other DutiesResponsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice, provided they are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

Work EnvironmentThis role operates within a petrochemical/refinery setting, with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Employees must wear protective hearing equipment and may need to use respirators in emergency situations. All personnel are required to undergo fit testing for respirators and pass pulmonary function tests (PFT).

Physical DemandsThe physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The role of a Project Field Manager can be physically demanding. While executing job duties, employees are frequently required to bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit, and exhibit hand strength and dexterity. Employees may regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally more than 51 pounds. Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights is essential, including climbing ladders and stairways. Employees must be able to communicate alarms or warnings clearly and quickly, as well as perceive alarms or warnings and respond appropriately. Maintaining balance and coordination on uneven or slippery surfaces is critical.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role with variable hours based on project requirements. Overtime may be necessary as job duties demand.

TravelTravel is anticipated, with extensive travel throughout the U.S. and potential overnight stays for extended periods.

Qualifications

Required Education and ExperienceA high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of managerial experience and at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a related field or equivalent job experience. A Class "A" driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Preferred Education and Experience6 years of managerial experience and at least 4 years of supervisory experience in a related field or equivalent job experience. Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
