Job Summary:
The Project Engineer is a key member of the Evergreen North America Industrial Services team, responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient completion of engineering and special operations projects. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead project manager with technical responsibility for design planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development of new or improved products and/or processes.
- Create drawings, parts lists, engineering estimates of work, statements of work, specifications, and other documents used to detail equipment features, requirements, and limitations.
- Review peer and client technical documents, including drawings, parts lists, schematics, engineering estimates of work, statements of work, specifications, and other documents used to detail product features, requirements, and limitations.
- Manage various aspects of project execution, both in and out of the field.
Deliverables/Accountability:
- Equipment drawings, tag lists, and P&IDs
- Process/Project drawings
- Project-related information and reporting
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field, with a background or experience in preparing operating instructions, CAD/P&ID drawing, process troubleshooting, and diagnosis. Additional requirements include:
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities and objectives
Working Conditions:
The Project Engineer may at times have a physically strenuous and demanding job, requiring the ability to lift, pull, and manage heavy equipment, materials, and other objects. The position may also involve working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat, and exposure to loud operating equipment and industrial noise.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, the ideal candidate will possess the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering field
- Background or experience in preparing operating instructions, CAD/P&ID drawing, process troubleshooting, and diagnosis
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities and objectives
