About the Role:

The Steam Turbine Program Engineering Manager will take charge of all facets related to steam turbine analysis, repair, troubleshooting, and engineering methodologies. This role is pivotal as the in-house authority on the design and assessment of steam turbine blades and rotors. The manager will lead and support a team of engineers in managing steam turbine repair initiatives and will collaborate with clients to develop effective repair strategies and resolve operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Direct all steam turbine engineering operations, from initial analysis and design through to final repair and testing.
  • Technical Leadership: Offer expert insights on steam turbine design, maintenance, and repair protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary expert on steam turbines, guiding design, maintenance, repair, and manufacturing processes.
  • Inspection Protocols: Create and implement thorough inspection procedures to evaluate the condition and performance of steam turbines.
  • Data Analysis: Examine inspection results to identify root causes of issues and suggest suitable corrective measures.
  • Technical Standards: Establish and uphold technical standards and procedures for steam turbine repairs, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks.
  • Redesign Initiatives: Lead projects aimed at redesigning and enhancing steam turbines to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Manufacturing Oversight: Supervise the production of new or redesigned steam turbine components, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality and performance standards.
  • Innovation Integration: Stay informed about the latest advancements in steam turbine technology and integrate relevant innovations into company practices.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget while supporting engineers in steam turbine design analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Master's and Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Over 15 years of experience in design engineering.
  • Background as an original equipment manufacturer.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
