About the Role

Vets Hired is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Testing Strategies

Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications. This includes developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify and report defects.

Mentor and Lead QA Team Members

Mentor and lead a team of QA engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Provide guidance and support to help them resolve complex testing issues.

Collaborate with Development Team

Work closely with the development team to ensure that testing is integrated into the development lifecycle. Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve defects, and provide feedback on testing strategies and techniques.

Develop and Maintain Test Automation Framework

Develop and maintain a robust test automation framework to ensure efficient and effective testing of our software applications. This includes developing test automation scripts, maintaining test data, and ensuring that the framework is scalable and maintainable.

Identify and Report Defects

Identify and report defects to the development team, and work with them to resolve these defects. Provide detailed defect reports, including steps to reproduce the defect and expected results.

Develop and Maintain Test Plans and Test Cases

Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure that our software applications are thoroughly tested. This includes developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify and report defects.

Participate in Agile Development Methodology

Participate in Agile development methodology, including attending daily stand-up meetings, participating in sprint planning, and collaborating with the development team to ensure that testing is integrated into the development lifecycle.

Develop and Maintain Quality Assurance Processes

Develop and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure that our software applications meet the required quality standards. This includes developing and maintaining quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements
  • 8+ Years of Testing and Automation Experience

8+ years of experience in testing and automation, with a strong background in software testing and quality assurance.

2+ Years of CI/CD Pipeline Experience

2+ years of experience in CI/CD pipeline, with a strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment.

3+ Years of REST API Testing Experience

3+ years of experience in REST API testing, with a strong understanding of API testing and quality assurance.

4+ Years of SQL Database Experience

4+ years of experience in SQL database, with a strong understanding of database testing and quality assurance.

Attention to Detail and Strong Problem-Solving Skills

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex testing issues.

Proficiency in Agile Development Methodology

Proficiency in Agile development methodology, with a strong understanding of Scrum and Kanban.

Strong Organizational, Written, and Verbal Communication Skills

Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with the development team and stakeholders.

Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Decision-Maker with Initiative

Decision-maker with initiative, with the ability to drive the QA process and make decisions that impact the quality of our software applications.

4-Year Degree in a Technical Field

4-year degree in a technical field, such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

Expert in Test Automation, Test Management, and QA Processes

Expert in test automation, test management, and QA processes, with a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.

Proficiency in Cloud-Based Application and Testing Virtual Implementations

Proficiency in cloud-based application and testing virtual implementations, with a strong understanding of cloud-based testing and quality assurance.

Track Record of Delivering Testing Projects on Schedule and Within Budget

Track record of delivering testing projects on schedule and within budget, with a strong ability to manage testing resources and prioritize testing activities.
