Job Description

Logical Paradigm is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining testing automation solutions that provide automated test coverage of business functionality for the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Automation Solutions: Create test plans, test cases, and coordinate release management activities to ensure seamless deployment of testing automation solutions.
  • Triaging Production Defects: Utilize tools like Splunk, Embrace, and Charles proxy to identify and resolve production defects in a timely manner.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to existing QA processes, evaluate new tools, and stay informed of industry QA trends to ensure the team is always up-to-date with the latest best practices.
  • Test Case Development: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases that follow best practices and techniques to ensure thorough testing of software applications.
  • Reproduction of Production Issues: Recreate production issues to help determine the root cause and verify any fixes.
  • Quality Testing Activities: Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities to ensure timely completion of testing tasks.
  • Automation Framework Development: Develop BDD scripts using Cucumber/TestNG by writing features and step definitions and develop selenium support code in Java.
  • Environment Setup: Build frameworks and set up environments for Micro-services, API, JavaScript, and other related technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree from Computer Science or any IT-related background (STEM Program).
  • Experience: Previous experience in software development, quality assurance, or other related fields.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Java, Python, or other programming languages, familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server, and basic knowledge of QA processes with Java and related technologies.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, strong root-cause analysis skills, and willingness to relocate nationwide.
