Job Title: Maintenance Technician III

Aspire Bakeries is a leading North American baking company with a strong presence in specialty frozen baked goods. The Maintenance Technician III will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities. This position requires a high level of technical expertise in instrumentation, measurement, and control, as well as experience working with complex electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs electronic systems, complex gauges, and instrumentation repairs;
  • Programs and configures PLCs and microprocessor-based systems;
  • Calibrates instruments for accuracy and recalibrates any instruments that do not meet manufacturer specifications;
  • Rebuilds instruments as needed, including acquiring necessary parts and tools;
  • Assists with data communication design and installations;
  • Maintains accurate time and material records and prepares work reports in accordance with standard operating procedures;
  • Performs regular inspections and makes recommendations for system upgrades and renovations;
  • Ensures all equipment is in proper working condition and performs housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment;
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum four years of experience in instrumentation, measurement, and control, electronics, electrical, and/or a mechanical program;
  • Associate's degree from a post-secondary technical school in Electronics or Process Instrumentation and Control preferred;
  • Certification as a journeyman in the instrumentation trade and ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CSST) Program Level II may be substituted for the required education;
  • Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant;
  • Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques;
  • Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.

Work Schedule: 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am), including weekends.
